Heart-J Center launched in 2014 with the vision of creating a hub of learning at historic Sylvan Dale Ranch. Over the past four years, Heart-J Center programs have given more than 6,000 people the chance to explore this remarkable place and experience a bit of Sylvan Dale's magic.
From nature hikes to photography, writers’ retreats to cooking classes, woodworking to Native American history, the Heart-J Center offers a broad array of field trips, workshops, retreats, and scientific research, all making the most of Sylvan Dale’s unique location and beautiful setting.

Heart J Vision

Heart-J Center is building the foundation for the future of Sylvan Dale Ranch. In 2018, HJC is working with the Jessup Family to create a master plan to facilitate the transition of Sylvan Dale Ranch to the Heart-J Center so that Maurice and Tillie's vision of Sylvan Dale as a place for people to visit and have unforgettable experiences will live on for future generations.
